The Evolution Of "Family Matters": The Movie
"Family Matters" was an idea that evolved when filmmaker Jim Akman was introduced to the "Extreme Filmmaker's 48 Hour Film Fest" in 2004. The filmmakers are given two days to create a film and then they vie for the opportunity to have their work featured at the prestigious Arclight Theatre in Hollywood. Pulling in known actors to expedite the process, Jim shot the film and edited it in a weekend. It was submitted and selected for the Film Fest on february 26th, 2004. It has since been accepted in various other film festivals across the U.S.
